Hey y'all, Whale here,

Things are moving toward a Build 4 release around the end of the year. The average build's script is around 80 pages; my draft is currently around 28. This one is made a little bit more complicated by some of the free exploration ideas that we want Thatch to be able to explore in Theca. Our current approach is to have most of the "main storyline" done in this build, and then use build 5 to flesh out more of the whole Thecan experience. This dovetails better with Dan's schedule, I think.

Because I'm a masochist I'm also working on a novel for NaNoWriMo. So it's going to be a busy month for old whale.

To wrap things up, here's a preview of one of the new side characters. Erastus is a grumpy old pig, born the second piglet of a petty Scleran noble. He's a little older than Thatch and is rougher for it--if they were to compare scratch for scratch and scar for scar, I think Thatch would come out of the experience counting his blessings. His fine lodging establishment, the Nicked Hoof, will be our home away from home while Thatch is living it up in the big city.
